Iranian spiritual leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Wednesday said his country will continue its efforts to develop nuclear technology.
According to internet pages Khamenei, Iran's spiritual leader was writing "with the help of almighty God and the omission of the West, a path aimed at the development of science, especially in nuclear technology, must proceed in accordance with the courage and the right of Iran".
Khamenei stated that in a meeting with Iran's nuclear scientist in Tehran.
The statement came after a dialogue between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Tuesday night in the capital of Iran. The meeting is the second visit of the IAEA delegation to Iran in less than a month that aims to discuss a number of substantive issues related to Iran's nuclear program.
Iranian officials and IAEA experts held a closed meeting on Monday and Tuesday, but failed to reach any agreement. Director of the IAEA Yukiya Amano on Wednesday confirmed that no consensus is reached with Iran during the visit of the IAEA for a few days.
